These are the questions visitors and expats ask us most. Every price below is a starting price, in euros including tax, for a weekday during the day, and it is confirmed on site before we start.
Opening a door, slammed or locked, simple or armoured, starts from €90. That figure covers the call-out and the opening. Anything beyond it, such as a new lock, is quoted separately.
Because the low figure is bait. The bill appears once the door is open, with extras added. If a price looks too good to be true on the phone, ask what is included and ask for the total.
Yes. Evenings, nights, Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays carry a 50% surcharge on labour only. Parts are not affected. It is told to you before we set off.
Yes, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, including Sundays.
Write to our assistant with the Question button at the bottom of the screen and it will answer in English. The online quote form is only in French.
Not usually. A door that has slammed shut can normally be opened without damage. A broken key or a damaged lock is a different case, and we tell you before we touch anything.
Something showing you have the right to be at the address: a lease, a booking confirmation, a bill, or a message from the host. Plus an ID.
Yes, with a booking confirmation and, ideally, the host's agreement. Try to reach the host first, because they may have a spare key.
A standard cylinder, supplied and fitted, starts from €130. A certified A2P cylinder starts from €180.
It is a French certification for locks, from one to three stars. The more stars, the longer the lock resists attack. Many French insurers ask for it.
A 3-point lock, supplied and fitted, starts from €450. We look at your door first and offer two models.
Often yes, but check the lease and tell the landlord. Keep the old cylinder, if you can, and keep our invoice.
A letterbox lock starts from €120.
Steel pieces fixed to the edge of the door so a crowbar cannot get a grip. Fitted on a door with a weak frame, they stop the most common kind of break-in. They start from €180.
Reinforcing a door starts from €400. A full armoured door depends on the opening, the wall and the lock, so we need to see it first.
Yes, for shops and garages. Freeing or repairing a metal shutter starts from €180.
The temporary closing of a forced door is priced on site, once we see the damage. We do not give a figure over the phone because a broken cylinder and a twisted frame are very different jobs.
Yes. After a burglary, do not touch the lock until the police have seen it. Then call us.
That depends on your policy. Keep our invoice, your photos and the police report. Tourists should check their travel insurance.
Yes: all of Paris plus Seine-et-Marne, Yvelines, Essonne, Hauts-de-Seine, Seine-Saint-Denis, Val-de-Marne and Val-d'Oise.
A reliable one gives you the total price before coming, shows ID, gives a written invoice, and does not insist on drilling a standard lock. See our page on lockouts for what to expect.
Ask when you call. We will tell you the payment options before the technician leaves.
Our work is on doors and locks of homes and shops. For a car, please ask a motoring service.
You are free to refuse. Nothing is owed for work we did not do.
Read emergency calls, changing a lock, armoured doors and after a break-in. Or return to the English home page. The quote form is in French, with a prompt estimate once you give your details.
